Knit N Jules is the entrepreneurial brain child of Julie Schuett of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Knitting since early childhood, she is excited to bring you original designs made by happy, busy hands! Julie knits and sews one-of-a-kind clothes and accessories and has recently been featured in several bridal magazines including Wisconsin Bride and Minnesota Bride for her unique and gorgeous bridal wraps.
While she admits to being a bit of a "fiber snob", she endeavors that each of these beautifully crafted wardrobe pieces become a lifetime treasure. To that end, she only uses the finest fibers that she personally hand chooses. Many of her fiber vendors are small businesses (like a Wisconsin alpaca farm) like Knit-N-Jules, so you can be sure that you are getting the finest product available.
The Fiber Story
Knit-N-Jules has her yarn made in South Africa by Be Sweet Products to get the finest fibers and to support this vital program. These South African women have strength, determination and pride - pride in the work they do and its impact on their families and community. They have made an investment in the future by learning new skills and producing high-quality goods that connect their lives to yours. The beauty and uniqueness of the work they do tells a tale of the beauty and individuality of each of these women.
The thriving Be Sweet Program is the largest employment in the area, employing over 50 women. These artisans hand-spin and hand-dye various mohair yarns; many are offered in over 75 colors.
